Former major league baseball player Howard Ehmke. Ehmke was a camper at Tecumseh for many years before playing in the major leagues from 1916-1930. He pitched for the Tigers, Red Sox and Philadelphia Athletics. Ehmke won game 1 of the 1929 World Series for the Philadelphia Athletics, striking out 13 Chicago Cubs batters. The third camper from the left is long time Tecumseh person Drew Pearsall.
